Another friday/Saturday occupied by a Forensics tournament. I love my life :)

Why am I not the norm?

Well, today I spent an hour practicing to sing, an hour singing in chorus, and finally 2 hours practicing with my a cappella group… 4 hours total of singing….and I enjoyed it……..

AT&T

I lost AT&T coverage today for about 3 hours. This was not fun… especially when you send a text, then lose coverage, so you don’t know if the person ignored you or you just didn’t get their response :(

Why am I not the norm?

Well, today I stayed at my school past 6:30. Why? Because I sat around at a tournament for competitive speech…yay!

Humans like choices, but don’t like to make them.

Poetry

Lately I’ve been writing some poetry. Let me know if it’s any good.

“Anyone”

Life is constant frustration.

Struggling to continue on.

A fish caught on a hook

but just can’t quite get

the hook out of its mouth.

He washes up to the deck of the ship,

trying to break free.

He needs ME.

Life is constant sorrow.

Listening for some good news

when really you know you

got a 68 on that math test

and there’s nothing yo can do

but face it.

Why do they leave?

One by one.

No warning signs.

A car driving on a desolate road

to nowhere,

crashing in silence because the

driver used the wrong turn signal

He’s crying from above for some help.

He needs ME.

Who am I?

Am I God?

No

I AM YOU.

I AM YOUR BROTHER.

I AM YOUR SISTER.

I AM YOUR MOTHER, FATHER

YOUR GRANDAD, STEPDAD, 3RD COUSIN

TWICE REMOVED.

I AM THAT NEIGHBOR YOU DON’T LIKE.

I AM YOUR 3RD GRADE CRUSH.

I AM YOUR WORST ENEMY, YOUR BEST FRIEND.

I AM NO ONE.

I AM EVERYONE.

I AM ANYONE.

Kind of a weird video. “The Big Shave” by Martin Scorsese when he was still in film school at NYU.

Imaginary Harry (Ending)

  • Harry: ...And that something...is being me. I'm great...
  • Jason: At being me....I am great at being me...
  • Mom: Jason...
  • Dad: That was real nice, son.
  • Mom: Real nice, Jason.
  • Dad: I guess there's no way to apologize for 16 years, but tomorrow morning, we'll do whatever we can.
  • Jason: My work here is done.
